How can a spouse be held liable if not on a lease agreement and the?

A person not on the lease can be held liable for damages that they caused, or possibly that the tenant on the lease claims they did. Going after someone not on the lease for unpaid rent or random damages if the lessee wont pay is a hail mary thats usually thrown out. But if you have actually received some kind of official court notice or a service of a lawsuit, you need to get legal aid quickly, either a lawyer or whatever legal aid agency is available.
